Massachusetts REALTOR® Awards

Each year, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® proudly acknowledges the REALTOR® members for their volunteerism and excellence in civic, business, leadership, and educational service.  These awards are presented each fall to carefully considered members who are either nominated by their peers or by selected by an award committee. 
The association’s annual awards include:
REALTOR® of the Year Award

This award recognizes one outstanding REALTOR® member who has made the greatest contribution to the advancement of the real estate profession and the community at large. This award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member in a given year.  It recognizes REALTORS® for their civic, business, and industry/organizational contributions and achievements.
Milton H. Shaw Distinguished Service Award

Created in 1984 the award honors REALTOR® members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the association through their extensive volunteerism and participation on MAR committees at MAR events.
MAR Good Neighbor Award

Recognizes real estate professionals who are committed to community activism through volunteer work, educational programs, youth activities, and any other civic or charitable activity that improves the lives of the local community. 

Private Property Rights Award
Originally established to honor the exceptional work in public policy and property rights advocacy of REALTOR® Richard C. Dils, the Private Property Rights Award honors a REALTOR® who exemplifies hard work and commitment to government affairs affecting REALTORS® and the real estate profession. The Award is presented annually at the REALTOR® Day on the Hill to a REALTOR® who commits his or her time, voluntarily, to the betterment of the profession through continuous advocacy, efforts to understand legislative issues, and involvement in government affairs and the REALTOR® political action committee. 

MAR Lifetime Membership Award

A REALTOR® member in good standing, who has been active in staff service, for not less than thirty (30) years, and has reached the age of sixty-five (65), may be designated a Life Member by the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors. Life Membership Application.
